My Approach
There isn't one door into this work, because people arrive needing different things. Some come with a shoulder that won't loosen. Some come because something larger has started to move, and they'd like a steady hand while it does. What follows is the whole range: the clinical and the bodywork on one side, the Esoteric Acupuncture and the deeper processes on the other. If you're not sure which is yours, that's normal. The Inner-Plane Work
Esoteric Acupuncture — the New Encoding Patterns
The New Encoding Patterns are the heart of this practice. Each pattern is a sequenced set of vectored gateways: acupuncture points opened in a precise order, forming spinning sacred-geometric patterns in the field of the body. Over a series of sessions the patterns build on one another into a networked architecture with its own intelligence, strengthening the Lightbody and opening the Heart Field.
This is not something done to you. The patterns work with your own system's intelligence, and your participation is part of the medicine. Doing-with, not doing-to.
The work suits people already engaged in some form of inner practice: healers of every modality, people moving through a major life transition, and those integrating a spiritual emergence or an experience with plant medicine or psychedelics who want that opening held within a coherent structure.
Individual sessions. One-to-one, a single pattern installed and integrated in a guided altered state, activated off the body with Selenite Swords of Light and supported by a curated playlist. You leave with a practice to carry between visits, and each pattern is given three times across a 21- or 42-day cycle so it can take root. Sessions include PDF resources to support your development between visits.

Couples and Partnered sessions. The same pattern, taken together. Two people sharing one architecture tends to do quiet, useful things: nervous-system regulation, emotional attunement, a coherence between you that outlasts the session. For couples, close friends, or working partnerships. Book as the Partner Session option above.
Live group activations. A pattern given to a room rather than a person. The group amplifies the field, whether it is a room of ten or a hall of a hundred, and nothing is asked of you beyond being there. If you are curious about this work and want the gentlest way in, come and receive.

Standard clinic sessions
Daoist energy medicine drawing on TCM and classical Chinese medicine. A session may include acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, gua sha, massage, energy work in the qigong and pranic healing traditions, dietary and herbal recommendations, and Daoyin exercises to take home. The orientation is Yang Sheng: nourishing life, not just chasing symptoms. You will not get the same treatment twice, because you are not the same twice.

Depth exploration processes
A small number of extended sessions, around five hours each, for people ready to go further than a treatment can take them. These weave bodywork, breathwork, transpersonal counselling, ritual, art therapy, Lightbody activation, meditation, and journey work into a single held process. Workshops, Activations & Movement Events
The group side of this work. Steven facilitates lightbody activations, teaching events and Daoist movement workshops — Tai Chi, Baguazhang and Qigong, the moving arm of the practice. Group work amplifies the effect: he has held sessions for 10 to 150 people, from intimate workshops to festival and conference settings, in Byron Bay and beyond. Community acupuncture — Mullumbimby
Accessible, low-cost acupuncture in a multi-bed clinic setting. Ideal if you want affordable sessions or the kind of condition that responds best to frequent treatment. Not everything needs a treatment table. This is health optimisation from the inside out, for people anywhere in the world who want a clear, personalised strategy rather than consulting another round of guesswork.
We begin with a comprehensive intake: your history, your current picture, what you have already tried. Then a 30-minute consultation by phone or video, drawing on Chinese herbal medicine, nutritional science, and lifestyle medicine, followed by an initial email follow-up setting out your personalised protocol. From there, if you want it, a longer-term strategy covering diet, supplementation, fitness, frequency medicine, and the performance and longevity questions that sit behind them.
It suits people who are functionally well but know there is another level, people managing a chronic picture who want a coherent plan across systems, and anyone too far from Byron Bay to lie on the table. 30-min consultation with comprehensive intake and email follow-up · $180
Personal development & practitioner training
For practitioners who want to bring this work into their own rooms, and for committed seekers who want to go deeper than receiving. Training through the Lightwork Academy covers the point work, the geometry, and the development of the Lightbody, and is open to practitioners of any discipline. You do not need to be an acupuncturist. You need to be serious.
